Victoria Lim has been called the “Queen of Convergence.” She is the Senior Consumer Investigative reporter for WFLA-TV, The Tampa Tribune and TBO.com, so you can watch, read and surf her award-winning reports. The Society of Professional Journalists, The Association of Capitol Reporters and Editors and the Associated Press have each honored her multi-media stories.
As she began her freshman year at Temple, Victoria also started as a desk assistant at KYW-TV and worked her way up to field producer before graduating from TU in 1991. After working in radio news, she landed her first on-air television job at WNS-TV in New Castle, DE before moving north to WWMT-TV in Grand Rapids, MI. Victoria has also worked with one of Temple’s most famous alumni, Bill Cosby, as a contestant coordinator for his revival of You Bet Your Life which was produced and shot here in Philadelphia.
She serves as Vice President for Broadcast for the Asian American Journalist Association Florida Chapter. She was chosen as one of the mentors for the national UNITY mentor program, which helps young journalists of color.
Victoria returns to Temple periodically as a guest speaker on multi-media reporting. A bit of Temple trivia: Victoria was one of the original anchors for Temple Update, one of the original members of the women’s soccer club team before the university was granted NCAA status for the sport, and was the student speaker at her 1991 SCT graduation ceremony.
