Emmy-winning journalist Tracy Davidson co-anchors NBC10 News Today. She started her career as a radio host at several small stations in upstate New York before transitioning to Television news as an anchor at a New York CBS affiliate.

 

Davidson joined NBC10 in March 1996, and has served as both an anchor and consumer reporter. As a consumer advocate, she created and hosted hundreds of community events such as The NBC10 Great Shredder Event, The Money School, Get a Job events, small business seminars, digital TV transition help clinics and numerous phone banks.

 

Davidson has earned six Emmys, including the Best News Anchor Emmy for the Mid-Atlantic Region in 2008 and 2013. The National and Pennsylvania Diversity Council honored her with the Pennsylvania Most Powerful and Influential Women Award in 2013. In 2011, Neumann University awarded her with an honorary doctorate. The Philadelphia Business Journal and the National Association of Women Business Owners selected her for The Woman of Distinction award in 2004.

 

Davidson dedicates much of her personal time to community service. As an advocate for victims of domestic violence, she has been honored by both the Laurel House in Norristown, Pennsylvania, and Vera House in Syracuse, New York. She has served as the Honorary Chair of the March of Dimes WalkAmerica/March for Babies for more than ten years, and currently serves on the Philabundance Board of Directors,

 

Davidson has a passion for motivational speaking and speaks on a variety of topics. A Member of St. Denis Church in Havertown, Davidson earned a religious studies certificate from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in 2008. She holds a graduate degree in Holistic Spirituality from Chestnut Hill College, where she delivered the commencement address at her 2014 graduation ceremony. Additionally, Chestnut Hill College recognized her with an honorary doctorate of humane letters.
