Steve Capus is the executive producer of NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, which is consistently the highest rated evening newscast in America. Last year he supervised most of NBC News’ extensive coverage of the September 11th terror attacks. As executive producer of MSNBC’s The News with Brian Williams, Capus received a National Emmy Award for MSNBC’s outstanding instant coverage of a Singapore Airline jet crash in April 2000. Now a venerated employee of NBC News, Capus began his career with the network in 1992 as senior producer of NBC Nightside. His extensive journalism experience also includes writing and producing for KYW-TV in Philadelphia.
