Lauren Lipton has been an editor, anchor and reporter for KYW Newsradio since 1985. She is the guiding hand behind KYW morning newscasts as well as the reporter for the award-winning weekly feature Positively Philadelphia. Her extensive broadcasting experience includes reporting, producing and editing for KYW-TV and anchoring WFIL radio in Philadelphia. The winner of many broadcasting honors, Lipton’s awards include a special presidential commendation for a news series on volunteerism from Ronald Reagan, an Associated Press Award for best television newscast, and two Emmy nominations. Lipton has been a part-time faculty member of Temple University’s School of Communications and Theater since 1989 and has also taught at the University of Pennsylvania.
