John was raised in Broomall wanted to become a sports broadcaster. On Christmas Eve of his senior year in high school his Father died. One the day of his funeral the big envelope arrived from Temple University.
While at Temple, John was involved in sports broadcasting at WRTI. Some of the greatest memories made at Temple were broadcasting Temple sporting events and hosting his first sports talk show. The fire was lit.
John interned while at Temple with PRISM Sports and the Philadelphia Flyers. After graduation he continued with the Flyers doing video and statistical analysis for Mike Keenan and his staff.
Kincade interned at WIP and then did his first on air shift there before a move to Atlanta where his radio career took off. John co-hosted “Buck and Kincade” on 680 The Fan for over 20 years! While there he also did radio and television gigs with the now defunct Atlanta Thrashers.
John hosted “The John Kincade Show” nationally on ESPN Radio and then CBS Sports Radio for 15 years. He had the honor of also fill-in hosting for Mike Greenberg, Dan Patrick and Scott Van Pelt.
In 2021 John launched “The John Kincade Show” on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia.
John became an adjunct professor creating a “Talk Radio” Course that students can take each Spring in Klein College.
John has just recently defeated cancer for the third time and has been a tireless fund raiser for cancer charities. His show supports the locally based AACR. In 2020 John earned the prestigious Robert de Villiers award for Lifetime Achievement in fund raising.
John’s daughter Liv will be a member of the graduating class of 2025 from Klein College majoring in Advertising. He and his wife Cristina reside in Chester County.
Graduate, Adjunct Professor, Parent of a current student…there is no doubt that John is an Owl!
